論文概要:Urban development and population mobility are deeply interconnected processes, particularly in rapidly urbanizing nations like China. This research investigates the interactive relationship between urban development and population mobility across multiple scales—macro, meso, and micro levels—by combining official statistical data and emerging big data sources. The study emphasizes spatial dynamics and the role of urban development factors, such as economy, policy, built environment, and public services, in influencing population movement patterns.
At the macro level, the study explores changes in population mobility across Chinese prefecture-level cities from 2000 to 2018. Results highlight that economic factors historically drove mobility, while the importance of urban livability and public policies has increased in recent years. At the meso scale, a social network analysis based on big data reveals a hierarchical structure of population mobility networks, particularly during peak migration periods like the Spring Festival, with major urban agglomerations serving as critical hubs. At the micro level, the study focuses on intra-city dynamics using spatial econometric models, showing how urban built environments, such as accessibility, design, and density, significantly influence population mobility patterns and urban vitality.
The findings demonstrate the bidirectional relationship between population mobility and urban development. Population inflow promotes urban economic growth, industrial restructuring, and innovation, while well-planned urban environments enhance mobility and urban vitality. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers and urban planners to promote balanced and sustainable urbanization in China.
