【Gao Lab Academic Community Development Initiative】
To all alumni, colleagues, friends, and supporters of Gao Lab:
1. To build a long-term and stable Gao Lab academic community network
2. To support students and early-career researchers at critical stages of academic development
3. To provide foundational support for Gao Lab-related international conferences, academic exchanges, and collaborative activities
Participation is based on a one-time voluntary contribution.
The suggested contribution is RMB 1,000 per unit, and individuals may decide the number of units based on their personal circumstances. There is no mandatory requirement.
Suggested reference standards:
• Master’s students: 5 units per person
• Doctoral students: 10 units per person
All voluntary student contributions will be matched 1:1 by Professor Gao (from his personal funds) and managed collectively.
• Receive priority notification of Gao Lab academic activities and exchange opportunities
• Be eligible to participate in consultation and co-organization of relevant academic activities (subject to overall planning)
• Have priority opportunities to host Gao Lab alumni gatherings
• Receive moderate financial support for registration or participation in selected activities
1. Establishment of the “Gao Lab Academic Community Development Committee”
2. Formulation of dedicated management regulations
3. Regular disclosure of financial statements and annual reports
4. Dedicated use of funds with transparency and accountability
Committee members will be selected through consultation among representatives of the community and will be responsible for decision-making, supervision, and information disclosure.

March 8, 2026 – February 13, 2027

【Proposal for Compiling the Gao Laboratory Memoir】
Dear Alumni and Members of Gao Laboratory,
The memoir aims to present authentic reflections from the students’ perspective, capturing Professor Gao’s influence in daily supervision, research discussions, and laboratory life.
It seeks to preserve the most precious and irreplaceable aspects of the mentor–student relationship.
Contributors are invited to write around the following themes (you do not need to address them one by one; feel free to develop your narrative flexibly):
1. Memories with Professor Gao
2. Moments from laboratory life
3. Professor Gao’s influence on me
4. Words of appreciation and best wishes
Photos or materials of commemorative significance are also warmly welcomed.
1. Submissions should be in Word format and accompanied by personal information (see Attachment 2).
2. As this memoir is a commemorative publication, once a manuscript is formally included, the rights for compilation and publication will belong to Gao Laboratory.
3. Participation is entirely voluntary, with no mandatory requirement.
